Meet the Team Behind TischPunkt
Florian Marthaler
Co-Founder
Hi! I’m Florian, and I’m a co-founder of TischPunkt. I earned my doctorate in Mechanical Engineering at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology and hold an MBA from the Collège des Ingénieurs.
I have always worked a lot and, most importantly, enjoyed working. This means I’ve spent a lot of my life at desks. Particularly in recent years, I’ve noticed how the working world continues to evolve, but the workspace itself largely stays the same. It no longer meets the needs of companies or home offices. That’s why I decided to simply build office furniture myself. The result is TischPunkt.
Manuel Bopp
Hi! I’m Manuel, co-founder of TischPunkt and responsible for technology and design. Like Florian, I studied Mechanical Engineering and, after a few years in the industry, began my doctorate at KIT. I’ve always enjoyed optimizing things, whether it was a moped, an automatic irrigation system for the balcony, or my Minecraft farm.
During the pandemic, I gradually optimized my home office setup: cables were routed into channels, my monitor received an ergonomic mount, and my coffee mug a small heating plate. After the lockdown, it became very clear to me how impractical many things in offices are and how office furniture still looks like it did 50 years ago. I couldn’t find a good solution anywhere, so Florian and I decided to take the matter into our own hands!
